Turn & Game Summary

We decided to end the game at this point. The fate of the Ghouls was a foregone conclusion, with their ranks disrupted and their general now dead.

The Wood Elves managed to use their strong position through high manouverabilty to devistating effect and crush their undead foe. The flank and rear charges soon undid the rank bonus' and destroyed their ability to gain combat resolution bonus' beyond any presence of a standard bearer and any wounds caused. With their general gone the Ghouls were facing crumble tests for any surviving models beyound the close combat phase. The Vampire after being reduced to 1 wound thanks to the Arrow of Kurnos, saw the army general cower from any fight, in a desperate attampt to stay allive and maintain his inspiring presence for any instability tests, to little avail.

In all, the Vampires without their magic were swiftly destroyed through the skill full and devistating shooting and combat phases. With the abscence of the Vampire using any invocation attempts to recover lost troops, this was in respect of balance; a bias against the Vamps. This will be interesting to see how our games develop next, once the introduction of magic takes place.

I suspect that my oponent will be less giving in our future games, as the game play progress' after I have gripped the basics better. It will be interesting to see how much I have learnt from this, when I no longer rely on coaching from my oponent.

Overall I have really enjoyed my introduction to the game and much prefur this sytem. I am looking forward to reading the rule book and army book more. The structure for designing my army through the structure of building characters and units through special rule, unit upgrades and magic items really apeals to me for its introcacey and requirement for attention to detail. I would'nt enjoy having to choose units and characters that have compolsery combinations of items, which you have no option, or free choice over. I feel that this system gives the player total control over how they design and construct their army far better than the other systems I have looked at with Mark.
